August Collector Strategy Matrix
- Antonelli Blue /150 PSA 10 hits $1,850 — new non-Red benchmark: Two PSA 10 Blue /150 copies sold in August: $1,699 on 15 Aug and $1,850 on 24 Aug. The upward trajectory between those two sales is significant. With 46 tracked August Antonelli transactions averaging $211.32, the comps base is now deep enough that prices are anchored rather than auction-driven. Graded Blue copies are becoming the de facto reference price for the set.
- Oliver Bearman Orange /25 PSA 10 at $725 — rookie demand broadening: Bearman moved to #3 driver by August volume ($1,410 across 31 sales). The Orange /25 PSA 10 that cleared $725 on 22 August is the clearest sign yet that the rookie class beyond Antonelli has genuine graded-card demand. Bearman's base and Night Vision copies remain accessible; his low-numbered parallels are beginning to price differently.
- Pierre Gasly SuperFractor at $799 — set's second 1/1 landmark: Following July's Hadjar SuperFractor at $6,650, the Gasly SuperFractor sold for $799 on 5 August. As a points scorer this season, Gasly's card commands a meaningful premium but trades well below the Hadjar benchmark. Any Antonelli, Hamilton, Norris, or Leclerc SuperFractor coming to market would likely set a new record.
- Max Verstappen re-entering relevance: Verstappen's 27 August sales total $1,550 at avg $57.42 with a $375 top sale — his strongest monthly showing yet. Despite a difficult championship year, collectors are treating his D75 cards as undervalued relative to his historical standing. His numbered parallels are the clearest value play in the non-rookie tier.
- Summer break volume held up — market is structurally active: 434 tracked August sales at $44.31 average mirrors July's $44.54. The market did not slow during the F1 summer break. Activity now appears driven by the collector base rather than race-week spikes, which suggests more consistent pricing going into the second half of the season.
